Kubuntu 10.10 hangs on logout

Running Kubuntu in VMware player is nice, if you need to run Windows but work at the same time in some Linux applications. However, logging out from kde hung the Xserver in my VMware.

The easy solution, if you happen to have gnome or xfce installed as well, taken from here :
change the default display manager to gdm by casting
sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm
on a console and choosing "gdm" in the following dialogue.
